So long, Farewell, Adieu to you and you and you !

Little did I know when I clicked on a link many , many years ago that I would embark on a wild adventure and take a walk on the wild side!
I wasn’t in a great place mentally when I joined The Unfrench Wives, my daughters marriage had broken up and suddenly the retirement Mr P and I had thought we were embarking on, changed beyond all recognition.
Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t change a thing and as I look back, her divorce was the right thing for her and the children, we adapted and changed our retirement to suit the cards we were dealt. She now is also embarking on a new life and one which we are thrilled about too.
We learned to keep closer boundaries to protect our loved ones and whilst scrolling through Fb I found my way forward. I started commenting and eventually Donna asked me to become a member of the team, I was uncertain but took a leap of faith.
My computing skills were (and still are 🤦♀️) pretty basic but I have learned an awful lot over the years. I have blogged, not something I ever thought I would say! I have written for an online magazine too.
But most of all I have become part of an amazing community of women (and a few men) who all love France. My love of France began as a 13 year old, so 60 years ago, and I really will never lose that love.
France is my escapism, my 'raison d'etre' as it were, I enjoy showing France to my family, my grandchildren now love it as much as I do. Job done ✅
But most of all Donna, Tina, Paula, Clare, and our beloved and much missed Pam, taught me to come out of my shell and to peep above the parapet.
Donna very generously handed over the reins of the FB group France Unwrapped to me a few years ago, something I would never have dreamed possible. I have a fantastic team who help me, take a bow ladies, Tina, Doe, Alex, and Rebecca.
Each and every one of you , regardless of wether we have met face to face, or not have become part of my family. For that I am and always will be very grateful.
Let’s join Donna on her new journey, support her adventures and keep marching over hills and dales.
Those hills really are alive with our voices , see you on the other side 👋🏻👋🏻
