Coo ee ! I am here 🤣

Updated: 6 minutes ago

Hi there everyone , Di here, thought I would introduce myself to you all.

This was taken during our French holiday last year, we have started the countdown for this year's holiday ! Only 88 days . . . Anyway I digress and need to get back to my task in hand. I am a retired special needs teacher, tried my hand at being a carer in a children’s hospice and my last rodeo was as receptionist/admin manager in a private dermatology clinic. Mr P is very long suffering as is our daughter. She lives nearby and has two children, the teen who is about to take her GCSEs and the nearly teen who is a laid back young man. That little family is about to grow with the arrival of her beau and his twin boys, watch this space.

More years ago than I truly care to remember I was mindlessly scrolling through FB when I tripped over a post Theveryunfrenchwife , it peeked my interest and I opened the page. Little did I know how my life was about to change. 😉 I duly liked many posts and added a few suitable comments over many weeks.

Then Donna asked if anyone wanted to be a moderator and help with the page/group. I had absolutely no idea what this meant but decided to put my name forward. And the rest, so they say is history !

I quickly became cyber friends with the other admin ladies, some have left, but there’s a core of us still together. I learned some computer skills and also how to manage a group. Dare I say it was fun and not an onerous task ? lol

'We' decided to start an online magazine, I know how forward thinking were we ? That was even more exciting, we all picked aspects to focus on, food, wine, places to stay, day trips etc etc. Hands up if you remember 'Simply Living France '?

Sadly it became rather expensive to produce and we put it to bed, never say never, it might reappear one day.

Then Donna moved to the French Wreck and decided to focus her daily postings on that and generously gave me the opportunity to manage the old pages/groups. Voila ‘France Unwrapped' and shortly after 'Kitchen Unwrapped' were born. I couldnt manage them without my fantastic admin team, take a bow ladies, Tina, Doe Alex and Rebecca 👏🏻🥂

If you haven’t seen us please pop in and say Hi!

I finally met Donna and her lovely husband nearly 2 years ago and we had lunch and a few sherrys ! We got on like a house on fire and continue to be great pals. She’s a member of my family now , there’s no escape !

So when she mentioned this new venture I couldn’t wait to join the trip once more. I have absolutely no idea what we will get up to in the future but I do know I want to be there 🤩!

Di x
