Get drunk.......!

Noooooo!
We have to be brave, pull up those big girl pants and carry the fudge on regardless. I mean we can scream, cry and bleat endlessly about what went wrong, why and then it's time to settle in again, whilst re learning those important life lessons.
Lesson 1. Never put all your eggs in one basket.
Lesson 2. Life is for the living!
The end.
Anyway, just a short blog today.
So leaving France soon enough will be bitter sweet for me, because I wasn't ever fully bought in to the adventure, we do these things for the ones we love eh? However, in the end I did create this house in the image of me and put so much of my heart and soul into it. I always knew it wasn't a long term thing but still hurts to loose what we built together. I just hope someone takes what I did and makes it even better, loving these walls fully as a forever thing. I guess its also important to acknowledge that whilst this whole French life thing wasn't my dream, it was his and he's heart broken, bless him. We did good whilst taking risks and thats business for you! Some times we win and sometimes we loose but when the chips are down, it's time to go home.
There are some people I will miss in France and they know who they are, thank you for being so wonderfully you and of course I will miss the super cheap wine! Seriously though, celiacs and France do not go together and my life got way too small this past year, so it will be really, really nice to get out and about again. I've also missed eating out, cinemas and garden centres! Lots to look forward to.
Of course our car needs some maintenance, why wouldn't it! Great timing as always but Range Rovers are a life style choice and very much part of this dysfunctional family. Tis what it is!
The future really will be an empty canvas for him and I. In some ways it could be very freeing and exciting at the same time. Our kids are flown the nest and we can hit the open road if we want to.
For the time being we are keeping busy by getting the house ready for sale and thinning down our belongings best we can, then packing for all eventualities which is harder than you'd think. I've accepted the challenge mostly and will just plod on until it makes sense. Today is a cleaning day ready for an estate agent tomorrow and so it begins. All the gumption in the world needed for the next few months and a little luck would be super nice right now!
Anyway, the sun is shining and I'm going to take a few moments to pretend to tidy the garden!
P.S. Don't forget it's always important to recognise that many folks are doing it tough at the moment and in many ways we are VERY lucky. When one door closes another one usually opens and on we go!
Lots of love
