or still the same old?
Well folks! I do hope your new year started out well enough and you've survived, thrived even to this point?
Of course you have!
Today is the 20th of January 2026 and its been interesting for us so far! A little topsy turvy but whats new? It may be a new year but real life doesn't fully reset does it? No. We are okay though and using all the gumption we have to muddle through the changes best we can.
The cold snap has gone for now, thank goodness and this house was very challenging, damp and cold. Now it's above freezing it's not so bad but we are still very much looking forward to spring! I know we are only 20 days in but my mind is already wandering to daffodils and tulips. A little sun on my face would be nice too!
We had a little epiphany soon after the festives and are in search of a new adventure, at some point this year. This blog will be my last as The Very Unfrench Wife! I know! Sad times. The handle is me and I am her, but It's time to let go. One, I need to concentrate on writing THE book and two, with a new adventure will come a new chapter but of an entirely different book!
Exciting times are ahead.
It feels very much like the right time to hang up my French cloak for good. I honestly think in order to fully heal from what was a very fractured, fractious period in my life 2017/2025 I need to walk away from that alias permanently. It's simply no longer relevant.
I can't share too much about my plans yet but we will be faffing with the website over the coming months, so stand by. All of the blogs pre 2026 will eventually go into an archive because you never know!
