Questions....

ree

Today a lady on my Facebook page asked me, if I have any regrets moving back from France earlier this year?

I don't and I don't have to think twice about that.

Sans Regrets.

Of course it's taken a few months to settle in and for my nerves to calm, but I almost forget I was ever there on a daily basis now.

Yes, I do miss 'things', especially my lovely kitchen, dressing room, that huge bath and of course cheap quaffable wine......but truly, thats it. I guess if I had to drive a distance a lot, I would possibly miss those empty roads.

The Wold's are very pretty indeed and just as beautiful as much of the countryside in France, in it's own way. I'd go as far to say if the buildings here were creamy and not brick, the Wolds would be the new Cotswolds, except it's a little far from London of course, so not quite so convenient.

What the locals did to us in France was something else and akin to evil frankly. Those in power and meant to protect did exactly the opposite. When the tax issue is finally resolved, I will look at taking action against the key antagonists, no less than they deserve frankly and also to ensure they will never do it again.

France was not for us, that much was clear. We still have a home there until it's sold and then we are done. We both very much doubt we will ever return once the house is sold and the business closed.

We have started to scope out areas here we might like to buy in the future here in the UK. Lots of hoops to jump through first but we will get there. It is important to keep moving and looking forward isn't it?

I'm so happy to be feeling well again and I'm not 100% sure whats been causing all the issues I've been having, but lets face it, stress isn't great as a long term bed fellow. Also I need to realise I'm not a spring chicken anymore.

Love and gumption
